It's Jacaranda Time

My lovely jacaranda tree is about to burst into bloom. 

This is a cushion I made for a friend who turned 4.  I have been busy with my "Forever Spring" quilt.  I have finished the borders.  So see it all together soon. Photos will come.  

My little princess

Some days I think it would be nice to be 4 again because you can dress up as a princess and get away with it.  On Friday my girl did just that and went to pre school.   

Gotta love that.

I have named my quilt. "Forever Spring".

Mother's Day present

This is what I got for Mother's Day this year. I have been wanting one of these for ages and looked on eBay last week and this was going. I picked it up for a good price.
The machine doesn't work but that is ok because I really wanted it as a hall table. It has come with more draws that I realised. It looks perfect in my lounge room. So there is no more furniture needed.

Sewing my backing fabric

Last night I sewed some fabric for the backing of a quilting made on the weekend.

I was very careful to cut it. I made sure I had the grain of the fabric going the same way. My seems we're all 1.5 in stitch length and it worked. Phew.

Now to pin quilt.
